Day opportunities

Day opportunities centres offer a warm and friendly place where you can make friends, enjoy arts and crafts and other activities, and take part in gentle exercise.  Our day opportunities centres are located in modern well-equipped premises which are being set up across the county. These are supported by other activities in other places across the county.

Specialist support day opportunities are also available. We believe with the right support, everyone can have a paid job. Our ‘specialist support’ services give people that opportunity through a number of schemes across Buckinghamshire. These include apprenticeship schemes, a café, a farm, a garden centre and a maintenance service.

Day opportunities staff will work with you to plan your day and make sure you get the best from your time with the centre.

Transport

When you are referred to a day opportunities service we will talk to you about how you can travel. We may be able to help with transport if you have no other way of getting to the centre.

What charges are there?

If you have been assessed as able to pay, you may be asked to pay some or all of the cost of both day opportunities services and transport.
