Strawberries!
Beginning of June
Strawberries are growing nicely. Planted some tomatoes today. Everything growing well. The slugs and snails are unfortunately getting to quite a bit of veg before they establish. We looked for some horticultural grit to deter them but we could not find any in the shops. We have used approved pellets in the meantime. We fed all the plants in the veg plot. We did a lot of watering and weeding. Planted some cucumber plants today
21st June
This week we got on with some weeding. We planted some Carrots and Raddish. We did lots of watering as it’s been very hot of the last few days. We have a big slug problem so we spread some sharp gravel around to deter them. We planted a Courgette Plant, we harvested some Garlic and Salad Potatoes. Everything is growing nicely
