Gardening Session
On the club session 8th March 2022 between 2pm and 5pm, we planted some early variety potatoes in pots. As these grow we will cover with more layers of compost. This is called earthing up and it encourages the potato to produce lots of potato crop.
We sowed some spinach seeds directly into pots.
We also sowed some lettuce. The variety is a cut and come again lettuce so once it’s cut for salads it will keep regrowing.
We then sowed our first row of radish. The spring bedding displays are blooming very well. We watered and dead-headed them to encourage more flowering.
