Desborough Recreation Ground Park Walk Post 3

This is the third marker on the Desborough Recreation Ground park walk.

EVERY MOVEMENT MATTERS

If you have clicked on to this site, you have reached 590 steps. If you walked that same distance every day for a year, you would walk nearly 122 miles and use almost 10800 calories*.

Why not try to get to the next marker?

*Based on 1 step = 1 yard, and an average person uses 1 calorie per 20 steps

ABOUT THE DESBOROUGH RECREATION GROUND WALK

Millbrook Combined school was named in 1999, Before then, it had been Mill End Secondary School (1936), Sands County Middle School (1973) Sands Junior School (1998)

HEALTH NEWS

At the same time, it is important to remember to protect yourself.

Children and adults should wear proper sun protection, especially when the sun is at its strongest between 11am and 3pm. Spend a little more time in the shade during these times and check for burning.

Use at least factor 30 sunscreen.

SMALL STEPS, EVEN BIGGER GAINS TOGETHER

The numbers get really amazing if we are all active together!

If just 250 residents walked 500 steps every day of a year, their combined walk would take you around the world.

And if 100 residents walked just 204 steps once a week for a year, their combined walk would get them from Lands End to John O’Groats.

Or if a family of four walked just 370 paces in total for each day of the year, they would go through the Eurotunnel to France and back again 10 times!
